Do I want Him?
I recently listened to a teaching series that I taught at Pathway back in 2009. It was a vision series that laid out the passion, priorities, and strategy of our church. My hope was to hear a set of priorities or beliefs that were the genesis of why we had to close.
Disappointingly, I didn’t hear anything that led me to a conclusion. Listening to the series I felt like a student who got all the answers correct but still failed the test. To this day, I’m uncertain why our church didn’t make it. The unresolved question of “why” still lingers in my soul.
But I am certain that God is constant in His love. It turns out, God wants us to love and obey him regardless of the circumstances. He wants to divorce any notion that I’m in a relationship with Him to get something other than Him.
He simply wants us to want Him.
This isn’t a new truth for me to comprehend. But it has been a new truth for me to live.
Pathway was a church plant located on the NE side of Indianapolis, Indiana. Started in 2004 and closed in 2009, this short and amazing journey was filled with joys, sorrows, victories, and trials. While we were deeply grieved that we had to close the organization of Pathway, we are eternally grateful to the many families that became life long friends who, to this day, walk the path with us to God’s best.
Many of the resources on this site were developed during the life of Pathway. Our hope is that these resources will further serve to extend God’s Kingdom into the minds and hearts of all that find them useful.[/tab] [tab]
With 11 years of pastoral experience, I’ve had the opportunity to be on the bleeding edge of what God is doing and how He is expanding His Kingdom today. Specifically, I’ve had the opportunity to pastor 2 churches, be a part of several para-church organizations, and visit 6 countries on humanitarian/mission work.

Hey Milo.
Not sure if your wanting responses to these posts, or just letting some thoughts out for good therapeutic value. For whatever reason, I keep coming back to your posts, and praying for you often. I care deeply for you!
Even with the closing of the church, perhaps you were on the “correct path”. Reminded of this verse somewhere in the gospel “For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it.” And perhaps I am taking this verse out of context, but to me you are a slave to Christ willling to do what He wants you to do. Moses traveled around for years for no “particular reason” other than to follow what God wanted.
